I stand with Claudia.

Last night, while browsing #AcademicTwitter, I came across a heart-breaking post from Dr Claudia Schwarz-Plaschg, recounting her horrific experiences in the #HarvardSTS program lead by one of the ‘greats’ of the Science & Technology Studies (STS) field. I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it since.

I link her tweet below; it’s gratifying to see the wider STS community pouring forth their solidarity in the comments.

In her tweet, Clausia providesa link to a blog post explaining what happened to her and how the head of the program, Sheila Jasanoff, was complicit in the abuse and gaslighting. [Blog Post on Medium.com]

I have a platform so small it hardly counts – but I want to do anything I can to ensure that this story doesn’t get swept under the STS carpet. So, I’m sharing it here for those who may not have seen it otherwise.

Claudia calls for us all to stand with her, and I am glad to answer that call.
